Legislation Te Runanga o Ngati Manawa has received a letter back from Chris Finlayson and he has outlined that after the elections they will be in a position to update Ngati Manawa on the status of their settlement legislation. Our expectation is that a timeframe will be set in the New Year. 2. Mana Whenua Judge Williams has given the CNI Iwi 4 months to come up with a solution to move forward and agree to timeframes. The judge will meet on the 26 March 2012 for the outcome of the 8 Iwi PSGE decision. The judge is prepared to listen to Ngati Manawa court case but has struck out the Crown and CNI Holdings Ltd. Our Mana Whenua team has developed a timeline framework to discuss with the 8 Iwi PSGE and hopefully we will have a good outcome from this. 3. Access into Kaingaroa Lately we are receiving trespass notices, up to 5 in a week, if our beneficiaries continue to abuse this then it is difficult for us to develop and continue a good relationship with KT. We have been working with KT to be able to write out our own permits by April 2012. If the trespass notices continues then this will impact on us writing our own permits.
